Vintage inspired wrap

I am all about great wrapping. I like to try to make my Christmas packages part of my holiday décor, so this vintage inspired box will be perfect under my tree! I plan to tuck a special something in it for one of my friends. I like to give custom made jewelry as gifts, so I’m thinking that will be my choice. I was thinking of doing a masculine version of this, using an old atlas map page as the wrap and a grouping of tags with appropriate photos tied around and sitting on top of the box.

1. Paint vintage ledger or book page paper and set aside. My box is 4”x4”x4”, so I needed to full sheets to cover the box. Let the papers dry overnight.
2. Next day: Use the Fiskars 12x18 Cutting Mat, to line box up and either trace around and then cut out using #5 Micro-tip Scissors OR line box up and use the Fingertip Craft Knife(one of my very favorite tools!) to cut out. After doing 2 sides, and adhering to the box, line up the other 2 sides and do the same thing.
3. To make the flower on top: Use Fiskars Pinking Scissors to freehand cut a large circle (3.75” for a 4” box), then simply continue to cut smaller circles from different papers (Melissa Frances Crepe Paper, Floral pattern paper and Ledger paper, as well as two tissue papers) Crumble papers up and layer them adhering each circle.
4. Take 2 strands of Melissa Frances Tinsel Garland and tuck and adhere under flower.
5. Adhere Melissa Frances Cream Bottle Brush Tree to the top of the flower.
6. Take the Tag You’re It Squeeze Punch and use it to punch a tag from Melissa Frances Ledger Paper. Adhere small index photo to tag. This is my FAVORITE way to identify gift’s recipients! Use the Fiskars ¼ Circle Hand Punch to create hole in tag, then tie a ribbon through and use string to adhere tag to tree on package.
