Hi, I'm Joy. I'm a wife, a mom, a photographer, a former teacher and an avid coffee ice cream eater who has been scrapbooking for almost ten years. Some of the very first tools I purchased when I first started scrapbooking were Fiskars Paper Edgers. I loved them so much, I purchased every style that was available at that time! Scrapbooking has certainly come a long way over over the last ten years, but who's to say that decorative scissors are out of style? I sure don't! I still use my Paper Edger on various projects, particularly the scalloped ones, including the layout I created here.  I used the Clouds Fiskars Edgers on the strips of paper at the bottom of the layout, and I used the Mini-Scallop Paper Edgers (photo 2) to cut out the patterned circles one of  Heidi Grace's papers(photo 3). Using decorative scissors for this project helped add a daintiness to the overall feel of the layout.

Some of my other favorite Fiskars tools include the 12 inch portable trimmer (I still have the very first trimmer I bought ten years ago!), the Softouch Micro-Tip Scissors (I can cut the most intricate designs with ease, despite of the tendonitis in my wrist!) and the Tape Runner (by far THE BEST adhesive dispenser, and I've tried them all!). Almost all the consumable products on the layout are from Heidi Grace's line "Reagan's Closet".  I've been a fan of Heidi Grace for a very long time and this collection of hers is my all-time favorite.

Instructions (Print version)

1.      Mat photo on pink paper. Double mat with "Compact Flowers" paper and use Cloud Paper Edgers along the bottom of the mat. Adhere to left corner of 12x12 white cardstock paper.

2.       Cut out two strips of "Compact Flowers" that is about 1/5 inches high using Clouds Paper Edgers. Adhere to bottom of page so that floral pattern is on the front, and the blue patterned paper is behind.

3.       Using Mini-Scallop Paper Edgers, cut out a strip of three words of the "Decor Words" Shimmer Glitter Paper and adhere to bottom right corner of the layout.

4.       Cut out a 1/2 x 10  inch strip of the "Tinsel" Shimmer Foiled Paper. Adhere underneath matted photo and intermix with  strips of Cardstock Borders stickers.

5.       Cut out about a dozen patterned circles from "Decor Circles" paper using Mini-Scallop Paper Edgers and adhere randomly on layout.

6.       Embellish layout with Chipboard Alphas (monogram), Glitter Alphas and Words cardstock stickers (numbers) and Punchboard Add-ons (tag) chipboard, Glitter Flowers and ribbon.

7.       Cut out a tag for hidden journaling using Mini-Scallop Paper Edgers and "Compact Flowers" paper. Embellish with ribbon, Glitter Alphas and Words cardstock stickers and with a heart created using "That's Amore" punch. Tuck journaling tag behind photo.
