Winter tea card

Designer: Lisa Falduto

It has been a very cold and blustery winter here.  There have been many days that I have found myself snuggled up in my PJ's and a nice hot cup of tea to warm my insides!  I so often think of friends when I am curled up enjoying a hot cup of tea and wanted to make a special card to send to a special friend who is also a fellow tea drinker.  So you will see how I incorporated a tea bag right on the front of this wintery little card!  So use whatever winter you have left wisely by sharing a little tea with a friend!

To create this card I used the new Premium crafter's trimmer.  This trimmer is so lightweight and portable and I could clearly see the cut line before I even moved the blade which worked so well when making cuts for this card!

Instructions (Print version)

1.  Using the Fiskars Premium Crafter's trimmer cut white cardstock 6"x10" and fold in half so you have a card that measures 5"x6".
2.  Cut a piece of blue cardstock 4 3/4" x 5 3/4".  Use your Snowflake 3-in-1 Corner punch to punch the top 2 corners.  Adhere to front of white card.

3.  Cut a piece of Heidi Grace Let it Snow paper 2 1/4" x 5 3/4".  Attach this to the bottom part of the blue cardstock making sure you place adhesive only on the two side and bottom, leaving the top open as a pocket.
4.  Cut two pieces of striped ribbon and tie together with a knot.  Adhere at the top of your patterned paper on the card.

5.  Punch a scrap of blue card stock with your Fiskars M Round 'n Round squeeze punch.  Embellish this piece using Cloud 9 snow fun raindots.  Pierce a hole in this piece so it will fit on your jump ring.
6.  Using your Fingertip Craft Tweezers and Fiskars Needle nose pliers open up the jump ring.  Slide the blue paper charm you created above on to the jump ring, slide the jump ring through the ribbon knot and use the tools to squeeze the jump ring closed.
7. Attach a large Li'l Davis glittered snowflake to the top left hand side of your card using foam dots.  I cut mine in half using my Fiskars No. 5 non-stick scissors.
8.  Slide your tea bag into the opening on the right hand side.
9.  Add the "Snow Fun" rain dot words above the tea bag.
