A great easy to do card project.

  • Cardstock: (Peanut, Tortoise) Bazzill Basics Paper; (brown)
  • Specialty paper: (Yellow Straw netting) Natural Textures, Magic Scraps; (Celery Green
  • Color medium: (black, brown, green) Craf-T Products
  • Accents: (Antique brad) Karen Foster Design; (paper raffia, hemp)
  • Adhesive

Instructions (Print version)

1 Make card from Tortoise cardstock. Cut Yellow Straw paper slightly smaller than card.

2 Cut palm tree trunk from brown cardstock. Roughly fold and pleat trunk; chalk edges with black. Tie raffia around trunk.

3 Cut two palm tree tops from Celery Green Mesh paper; chalk edges with green.

3 Adhere trunk and tree tops to Yellow Straw piece using foam squares.

4 To make sign, emboss “Bon Voyage!” on Peanut cardstock. Cut into strip; trim sides with Paper Edgers. Place ShapeTemplate Tool over letters and chalk with brown.

5 Chalk edges of sign with black and brown. Mat with brown cardstock; trim sides with Deckle Paper Edgers.

6 Punch holes through top corners of sign. Cut length of hemp; insert ends through holes and knot in place. Loop hemp around brad and attach to Yellow Straw piece. Adhere sign to card.
