My name is Emily Pitts. I live in Denver, Colorado with my husband Kelly and my our two children. I am a stay at home mom, but I teach piano part time to fund my scrapbook habit. I have been scrapbooking seriously for just over 3 years and I would never claim to be a cardmaker, but the Fiskars "Thanks" stamp set combined with this elegant Kimberly Poloson Letters Home line, said black tie all the way. I cut all the cards out, then used the Fiskars 12" portable trimmer is as a scoring guide. I always remove the blade so I don't accidently go on autopilot and cut the card in half, then I use the Embossing Stylus and using the cutting track, I make my score. Perfect every time! After all the cards were cut and scored, I added the stickers and stamps and added a little machine stitching. In the end, I had designed over 35 different cards! The Border and Shape stickers along with the "With a Flourish" clear stamps are ther perfect sizes for cards. Once I was all done, I decided I needed a cute box to hold them all. I used the same "Thanks" stamps I'd used for the cards and just stamped the outside of a plain kraft box. I love the look.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Using the Fiskars 12" Portable Trimmer, cut cardstock or paper to 4.75" by 8.5". Remove the cutting blade and using the stylus, score the cardstock to make a card.

2. If desired, use a decorative punch along the front bottom side of the card to add some fun details. I used the Threading Water punch on some of my cards.

3. Add stickers, stamps, and stitching. The stamps and stickers were so versatile, I never had to repeat the same design twice.

4. If desired, use the scallop punch to make a spot for stamped phrases as well.

5. For the box, stamp random phrases all over the outside surface to create a playful look.
