summer_films Click image to enlarge Designer: Kelly Purkey When summer swings around one thing I look forward to is all the blockbuster movie releases. Nothing beats cooling off in a movie theater on a Friday night. This summer there's a lot of movies I'm excited about seeing (Harry Potter, G.I. Joe, Fame) and created a little mini album to record all the experiences. I added two lines for journaling to jot down when, where, and who I saw it with and also punched stars for ratings. I can't wait to fill it up this summer! Difficulty rating
Instructions (Print version) 1. The Cover: Trim cardstock for the base into a 4x6 piece. Cover with a 4x6 piece of patterned paper. Punch a 3.75x6 strip of black cardstock with Fiskars Leave it To Weaver border punch on both the top and the bottom to create a film strip, then adhere to the cover. Trim white cardstock into five 1x1.5 pieces and adhere to the film strip. Add letter stickers. 2. Trim red cardstock into a 1x2.5 strip and punch corners with Fiskars Admission for One squeeze punch to create a ticket. Trim pink cardstock to a .75x2.25 strip and punch corners with Fiskars Admission for One squeeze punch, then adhere to red ticket. Add rubons and gems. Adhere the ticket to the cover. Punch stars using Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle squeeze punch and adhere to the cover.
3. The Pages: Trim cardstock to a 3.75x6 piece for the background of the page. Punch .5x6 strip of cardstock using Fiskars Scallop Sentiment border punch and adhere to the bottom of the background, making the piece now 4x6. Add a 0.25x6 strip of cardstock on top.
Trim cardstock to 1x2.5 strip and punch top & bottom right corners with Fiskars Admission for One squeeze punch, then adhere to background. Add rubons for the title. Trim white cardstock to two .5x2.5 strips and adhere to the background. Add journaling. Punch stars using Fiskars Pop Up Punch. Add photo.
4. Once all pages are done, use Fiskars Circle Hand Punch to punch a hole in the top left corner of each page. Cut a 4" piece of ribbon and thread through each page. Tie in a loose knot in case you want to add more pages to the book.
