Designer: Patti Milazzo

For this card, I was inspired to mix up the design with a little structure but to have some whimsy, too. I’ve added dry embossing, stitching and a fiber filled posey for fun.  And if you like, the sketch could easily be translated to a layout or other project.

Instructions (Print version)

Instructions:
1.    Cut 6” x 7” white cardstock card front.
2.    Cut flourish shapes from green paper and adhere to cardstock front and machine stitch in place.
3.    Use dot texture plate and stylus to emboss circles randomly across the white space around the flourish.
Note: The machine stitching will help you determine where the dots can be placed.
4.    Cut 2 ¾” strip of paper and adhere over flourish on the left side.
5.    Cut 3 – rectangles to fit inside the blue paper strip spacing them slightly apart and machine stitch in place with a decorative or quilt stitch.
6.    Border Punch a narrow strip of pink paper, adhere along the left side of blue paper and machine stitch in place.
7.    Squeeze Punch small leaves and adhere to vines.

8.    Squeeze Punch 4 – circles (2 of each size: L & XL) and machine stitch them 2/3 of the way around; fill with poly fill and continue stitching until closed.  This will give the posey a puffy look.
9.    Thread button with black embroidery thread and adhere to posey.
10.    Stamp sentiment on white cardstock; trim and adhere to lowest stitched block.
