I’m a simple stamper so I prefer techniques that are quick and easy to do! One of my favorites is to stamp images / designs on dark cardstock with clear embossing ink, sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat with a heat gun. The effect is a darkened image with a raised texture from the powder. This technique saves me from deciding on what color ink to use (especially if I find I don’t have the right color) and it creates a subtle image that doesn’t overpower the page.

- 1. Cut 2 – 9”H x 10” W pieces of green cardstock and adhere centrally to 2- 12x 12 pieces of white cardstock as shown.
- 2. Use Border Punch on solid blue (Dots) paper to create scalloped trim below green cardstock; machine stitch if preferred.
- 3. Cut 2 – ¾” x 12” strips of Dot paper; trim 1 ½” from strip for right page and 3/8” from strip for left page; adhere.
- 4. Stamp leaf design around left, top and right of green cardstock.
- 5. On right page, 3 ½ x 5 photos are trimmed to 3 ½ x 4 ¼ ; adhere to yellow cardstock with 1/8” border; then adhere to right page; and apply stickers and ABC Chipboard Accent stickers
- 6. Adhere buttons to Dotted strip on bottom right.
- 7. Adhere yellow Cardstock Quote Card (reverse side); to top right of green cardstock; apply stickers as shown.
- 8. Stamp brackets onto green cardstock using clear embossing ink; apply clear embossing powder; heat with heat gun.
- 9. Once the bracket designs are cool, trim with scissors and adhere to left page as shown.
- 10.Apply alpha stickers to create title; and embellish with floral stickers.
- 11. Trim 3 x 5 photo for circle and 4 x 6 photo for the left side of title; Mat on yellow cardstock and adhere to left page.
- 12. Create tag from white cardstock for journaling and embellish as preferred.
- 13. Below white tag, stamp Border design using clear embossing ink; apply clear embossing powder; heat with heat gun; further embellish with rub-ons.
