I love that sketches give you a jumping point in design where you can then make things as simple or as complex as you like. Here’s a card sketch where I used stamping and sewing techniques to add a little more detail and texture to dress it up.

1. Cut 3 – 2 ¼” squares from solid colored fabric; lightly brush with liquid decoupage and let dry overnight. This will stiffen the fabric, prevent it from fraying and make stamping easier.
2. Once fabric squares are dry, stamp images/designs on fabric and let dry.
3. Cut 3 – 2 1/8” squares from cardstock and adhere to back of each fabric square; then machine stitch around each.
Note: This is where the 12-in-1 Sewing Multi-Tool comes in handy to snip hanging threads.
4. Create 8” x 5” landscape card from cardstock.
5. Adhere squares to upper portion of card – spacing evenly.
6. Squeeze Punch 3 Daisies and adhere on squares as shown; punch center circle and adhere; apply Rain Drop and Glitter Glaze for extra sparkle.
7. Border Punch 8” length of brown dot (Trees) paper and adhere ½” from bottom of card; bend scallop edge up slightly.
8. Cut 3/8” x 8” piece of Pinstripe paper; stamp with Border Stamp; and adhere above scallop edged strip.
9. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock and adhere below right fabric square.
10. Use 12-in-1 Sewing piercer for holes to apply mini brads near bottom left of card.
