Even though we still have snow on the ground here in New England, it’s the time of year when my kid’s thoughts turn to…Spring Break! This year, my daughter is traveling to the Bahamas for break (lucky kid!). I created this simple passport holder so that she could easily find her passport in her bag. With two inside pockets, there’s room for her passport, a pack of gum, and maybe a few extra dollars.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Start with a standard 9” x 11.5” rectangle of felt. Fold the bottom of the felt up 3” and pin. It may help to pin around your passport to ensure you’ve allowed enough room.
2. Use the Fiskars Comfort Grip Rotary Cutter to trim off any extra felt.

3. Sew along the edges of the felt to create “pockets.” Tip: I keep my 12-in-1 Sewing Tool close by so that the needle threader & seam ripper are handy!

4. After sewing, finish the edges of the felt with Fiskars Pinking Shears

5. Add a ribbon to tie the holder closed, and add buttons for a simple embellishment. Now just pack your bags!
