October card sketch

This versatile sketch works well for any occasion. For a Halloween card, the main semi-circle design element instantly creates a fun moon shape to anchor your sentiment and embellishments. For extra embellishing or text, this sketch includes a secondary focal point to add a little extra fun! This design also lends itself well to transparent cards, leaving a circle inside for your message.
Lately I want my cards bursting with texture! This card combines some of my very favorite things together -- glitter, felt, and transparencies. Glitter Glaze brushed onto the felt easily and beautifully adding a TON of sparkle (with no stray glitter!) that literally makes me smile. I added bling to Fiskars' brand new Halloween punches to give these spooky images extra pop. The inside reveals a clever greeting complete with texture. This card is sure to pass along a smile to its recipient.

(Print version)
1. Fold transparency in half and trim to 5x7 card base.
2. Using Ultra ShapeXpress with circle templates, cut a gray 4.5" circle and yellow 5" circle.
3. Using 5" circle template, trace half of circle onto yellow felt and cut out; cover with Glitter Glaze using foam brush and allow to dry fully.
4. Punch two ghost and two cats adhering stacked together to add strength to images. Cover with Glitter Glaze and allow to dry fully.
5. Fold yellow circle and spiderweb cardstock in half and adhere over transparency adding adhesive only where it will be covered, and trim off excess cardstock.
6. Fold gray circle in half and add to inside of card.
7. Print out inside sentiment and add dot texture to "goose bumps" printed cardstock and punch with XL circle squeeze punch. Adhere all inside.
8. Once felt moon is dry, adhere to font of card and layer with letters, ghost, and googly eyes.
9. Finish off card by adding overlapping punched vellum circles and dried cat to bottom right corner being sure to add adhesive only to web so it will not show through to inside.
