November SketchClick image to enlarge Designer: Lisa Falduto There are so many things in life that I am grateful for. I think I could create an entire album on this topic alone! I must say that at the top of my list are the relationships in my life. So I used this sketch to create a layout about a relationship that has changed my life in so many ways! Difficulty rating
Instructions (Print version) ![]() 1. Start with a piece of Sparkle floral vines as your base. 2. Trim a piece of Luster Cocoa Buds to 11 1/2"x11 1/2" and adhere in the center of your base. 3. Cut a piece of red cardstock 6"x12". Create a decorative edge on each long side of this piece using the Scalloped Daisy embossing border punch. Now punch 12 circles from Luster Cocoa Buds using the Medium Round n' Round Squeeze punch. Adhere one of these on each red scallop. 4. Cut a 4 1/4"x 12" strip of Mint Cluster using the solid side up. Ink the edges slightly with brown ink on this strip before securing in place on the red scalloped strip above. 5. Create a large photo mat using Luster Mint ripple cut 5 1/2" x 8". Ink this slightly around the edges. 6. Cut another photo mat from Luster Cocoa Buds, red side up measuring 4 3/4" x 7 1/4". Attach to the blue photo mat. Crop photos to the size you want and place on the red mat. This area is flexible so you can use one large photo or 2-4 smaller ones. 7. Lay the photo mat on your layout about 1 3/4" up from the bottom and 1 1/2" in from the left side, but do not attach it yet. ![]() 8. Create a collage effect on the blue part of your border strip using various embellishments. I also created two corrugated cardstock elements using the Paper Crimper and tan cardstock. I created one piece 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and another 1" x 5 1/4". I used these under the pre-made embellishments as shown to add interest, texture, and dimension. I also added a small piece of a red/brown striped ribbon off to the left side and folded over on to the back.
9. Once you have tucked and secured all of your embellishments you will want to create a pocket using the photo mat. Attach adhesive to three sides of the back of the photo mat, leaving the right side open. Secure your mat over the embellished border. 10. Cut a piece of tan cardstock 6"x 9" and fold in half. Attach an arrow created using Luster Cocoa buds and XL One Way squeeze punch to the bottom of your folded piece. By attaching the arrow to the bottom it will help you slide the journaling piece out more easily as you lift it up and over the embellishments. You can either add journaling on this piece, photos, or both! Slide your completed journaling folio under the photo mat so the arrow shows off to the right.
11. Use the Wire Winder and the Design 6-1 template to create photo corners. Trim any excess wire using your Fiskars Wire Cutter. Mount a flat 5mm pearl in the center of your wire cluster and use a liquid glue to adhere the wire corners to the mat. 12. Add your layout title in the upper right quadrant of your layout using the Large Red Alpha stickers and the Medium Alpha stickers. Outline your stickers after they are place with a fine tip black marker to make them pop off the page.
