Did you know that the Fiskars rotary trimmer & blades can easily cut through felt?  Create this fun 12x12 memo board using the new Cloud 9 Max’s Backyard line, some felt, and decorative rotary blades. With several simple steps, you can complete this project and showcase some of your favorite small photos, prop it on an easel or hang it on the wall to admire.

  • 28mm Wave Rotary Blade - Blade Style F

  • No. 5 Micro-Tip® Scissors
  • Cloud 9 "Max's backyard" paper, stickers
  • Other- blue & red felt, 12x12 heavyweight chipboard, brads, cardstock, mini clips,

Instructions (Print version)

  1. 1. Use a 12 x 12 heavyweightchipboard as the base of the board.
    2. Split the “Butterfly Shadows”paper into two pieces:  12 x 10 and 12 x 2.
    3. With the blue side showing,adhere the 12x10 to the top of the chipboard base.
    4. With the red side showing,adhere the 12x12 to the bottom of the chipboard base.
    5. Trim the “Dragonfly Shadows”paper (turquoise side) to 11 3/8 x 9 5/8.  Adhere centered on the blue paper.
    6. Trim the “Wild Grass Stripe”paper (dark green side) to 1 x 12; adhere horizontally with the top edge 21/2” from the bottom edge of the board.
    7. Use the “wave” rotary blade& trimmer, put a decorative edge on a 1 1/4 x 12 “Nature’s Paisley”paper; adhere a bit lower than the dark green paper.  Add the sticker strip across.
    8. Align and place the title ofyour choice using the cardstock alphabet stickers.
    9. Using the “pinking” rotaryblade & trimmer, cut 4 pieces of 5/8 x 12 of the blue felt sheet;criss-cross on the board as shown. Pierce at intersections & ends; secure with long-pronged brads.
    10. With blue cardstock, Wide Grass Stripe paper, & Meadow Grass Stripe paper, layer circles in varying sizes to create the accent. Use foam adhesive to add dimension to each layer.  Place epoxy sticker in the center. Add a 4” piece of edged red felt behind the accent.
    11. Add your photos and Sparkle DieCuts with small clips.
