Floating frames are a modern, pretty way to display papercraft projects. I created this frame to showcase a favorite Maya Angelou quote. The clear canvas of the frame really shows off the detail provided by Fiskars new Lace & Lattice Border and Corner punch. With cardstock, an inexpensive frame, and my Fiskars tools, I was able to create a thoughtful gift for a good friend.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Start with a clear “floating” frame from your local craft store.
2. Trim cardstock and/or patterned paper into 9 3” squares. Use Fiskars Lace & Lattice Border and Corner punch on all sides of each square.

3. Punch 6 squares of the same color of cardstock using Fiskars Square-a-licious squeeze punch.
4. To create monochromatic detail, use Fiskars Texture Plates to emboss each small square. Adhere to the larger square using foam adhesive.
5. Line up all squares and adhere to the frame…the first two columns should be double squares, and the last column should be single squares to add your quote to.

6. Print a favorite quote onto cardstock, and trim into strips. Adhere to last column of squares.
7. Add 3 punched hearts (Fiskars That’s Amore squeeze punch) to the bottom corner.
