Filigree Love

Sanding colored card stock with a white core gives you a pleasing shabby sheek look.

• Required supplies:
• No. 5 Precision Scissors
• Self-Healing Craft mat 12.5" x 12.5"
• Fiskars Tape Runner
• Rubber Stamp Alphabet Letters
• Black Ink
• DCWV Textured Red Cardstock
• White Cardstock
• Ultra Fine Grit Sanding Block
• 1/16" Pop Dots

Instructions (Print version)

1.  Cut White cardstock 5 1/2 “ x 11”.  Fold in half to create a 5 1/2” X 5 1/2” card.

2.  Trim a piece of the red cardstock 5 1/2” X 5 1/2”.  Sand edges of the paper with the sand paper.  This will sand off the red coating of the paper to create a distressed look.  Attach to the White card.

3.  Cut another piece of the red cardstock about 5” X 5”.  Texture the whole piece of paper using the Filigree Texture Template.

4.  Using the Ultra ShapeXpress, and the shape cutting template, cut out the heart design.  Lightly sand the raised part of the embossed texture.

5.  Stamp the word “Love” on white cardstock.  Trim around the word. 

6.  Place the word "Love" on the red cardstock and trim around the white cardstock leaving a edge of the red to mat the white cardstock.  Sand around the edges.

7.  Attach heart & "Love" to the card using the 1/16” pop dots.
