This festive Fourth layout demonstrates three ways to add some major sparkle, a little pizzazz and a whole lotta fun with just ONE punch design, plus some other pretty fabulous Fiskars tools!  Turn ordinary cardstock into something wonderful with a few stampity stamp stamps too!  Check out all the details and try some of these fun techniques.

1. Stamp a random pattern of clear stamps (I love that this set by Cloud 9 Designs resembles fireworks) with Versamark ink (to create a watermark effect) around the outside of a red piece of cardstock.  The width of the stamped border should be about 1 ½”.

2. Trim photos to size: 4 ¼” x 7” and (2) 3 ½” x 5”
3. Trim striped paper to 2” x 10” and punch five stars along length of strip.  Alternate the side from which you punch from to create a more random border pattern.
4. Trim mini star paper to 2” x 10” and place behind striped piece.  Punch two outside corners with Round the Bend corner punch.

5. Trim two pieces of mini star paper to 1 ½” x 4 ¼”.  These will go above and below the larger photo on the left side.  Punch one of the corners with Round the Bend corner punch as shown.

6. Punch a partial star from upper right portion of large photo.  Using a scrap punched star, line up photo with mini star strip that belongs directly above and trace off the remainder of the star on the strip.  Punch the traced part of the star to and line up with photo to create a negative punched design.  Add a stitched button to the center of the negative star.
7. Adhere all of the pieces cut in the above steps to the center of the red cardstock background.

8. Add blue buttons to the top and bottom star along the border.  Stitch onto page if desired.

9. Remove one side of backing of adhere adhesive paper sheet and apply to white cardstock leaving other side of backing in tact.  Punch three stars from cardstock; remove backing and apply white or iridescent glitter to the adhesive.  Add stars to the punched border using foam adhesive squares.

10. Punch two stars from blue cardstock; add one to middle of border (use foam adhesive square) and the other to lower left corner of page.  Accent each with a stitched button.

11. Zig zag stitch with a sewing machine down the seam of the page where the two photos meet the large photo.
12.  Add small accent strips between the two smaller photos (a piece of blue cardstock punched with the Scallop Sentiment border punch) and below the large photo (small strip of striped paper) to add some interest and definition to the color-blocked design.
13.  Mount alphabet stickers onto a clear metal rimmed tag to create the title in the lower left corner.  Staple the title to the page and accent with red adhesive gems.  Add other journaling, date or subtitle to the upper right of the page.
