The moment I saw the new Fiskars 8X8 stamp sets, I knew I’d love using them to create pretty patterned backgrounds! This card is full of hand-crafted love and lots of lovely stamped details. I created it with old-fashioned Easter cards in mind and finished it with a vintage button.

Instructions
(Print version)
1. Cut solid off-white cardstock to 12” X 4 ¾”, fold in half. 2. Cut solid green cardstock to 5 ¾” X 4 ¼”. Using the Compact Stamp Press, stamp the Vintage Farmhouse floral pattern onto the green cardstock using green ink to create a green-on-green patterned paper background. 3. Using the open scissors, drag the edge of the blade on the edges of the cardstock pieces to give the card a shabby, vintage look. Lightly ink the distressed edges. 4. Using the Compact Stamp Press, stamp the plaid background from the Tartan ‘n Time Stamp Set onto solid off-white cardstock to create a plaid patterned paper. 5. Cut a 4 ¼” X 1 ½” piece of the stamped cardstock and punch the edge with the Scallop Sentiment Border Punch. Lightly ink the edges. 6. Position the border piece over the green cardstock as shown and machine stitch the green cardstock to the card base. 7. Using the craft knife feature on the Tool Taxi, cut a 1 ¾” slit in the center of the card’s fold. Thread a 20” piece of 1 ½” width ribbon through the slit and tie a bow at the top of the card. Trim ends as necessary. 8. Stamp the larger frame from the Vintage Farmhouse onto off-white cardstock. Cut around this image using the Comfort Grip Micro-Tip Scissors. Lightly in the edges. Using an acrylic block, stamp “Thinking of You” in the frame – it will just fit as you position it correctly. 9. From the Li’l Davis Calendar stamp set, cut the word “on” from within the word “Monday.” The word “Easter” is also in this set. Stamp “on Easter” below “Thinking of You” in the frame. Use the chick icon from the Calendar set and stamp it above the words. 10. Use Foam Dots to adhere the frame over the ribbon in the lower center of the card. 11. Attach the button to the center of the bow. 12. To finish the inside of the card, cut solid purple patterned paper to 5 ¾” X 4 ¼”. Sand and ink the paper, adhere it to the inside of the card. 13. Using the Compact Stamp Press, stamp the plaid background from the Tartan ‘n Time Stamp Set onto solid off-white cardstock to create a plaid patterned paper. 14. Cut a 4 ¼” X 1 ½” piece of the stamped cardstock and punch the edge with the All A-Fleur Embossing Border Punch. Lightly ink the edges. 15. Machine stitch around the two pieces inside the card.
