What could be a more fun way to spend your summer craft hours than with some embroidery floss, a few Fiskars squeeze punches, and some rhinestones? Check out this project made by guest designer Caroline Ikeji - I know I'm inspired to craft in a fun way like this now!

Instructions

1. Punch 5 1.5" scallop squares. Emboider a border in the center of square, using various colors of emboidery thread. Punch 5 2" block squares, and layer scallop square over each square. 2. Punch 4 2" scallop squares. Emboider a starburst design in center. 3. Cut 6.5"x9.5" block from white cardstock. Mount to top of page, and add strips of patterned paper. Cut strip from yellow cardstock, and trim with scallop scissors. Attach to design.

4. Arrange square pieces in a grid pattern, alternating between block and scallop squares. Leave three spaces as shown, and adhere flowers. 5. Add sequin centers to each flower. 6. Attach rhinestones and rubber stickers to centers of emboidered squares, as shown.

7. Place photo below grid. 8. Cut or punch about a 3" circle. Trim with scallop scissors. Cut flower design from patterned paper, and place on top. Cut slightly smaller circle from yellow cardstock, and add title with letter stickers.
