Photo “clothesline”Click image to enlarge Designer: Becky Novacek I am putting my collection of vintage, kitschy frames to use this holiday season! I love old frames with a wire stretched across from one side to the other. I don’t use it to hang the frame, but love to use it to “hang” photos and memorabilia. The open frames lend themselves well to embellish with ribbons, flowers and other appropriate items. I plan to give this to my daughter for Christmas. Difficulty rating
Instructions (Print version)
1. Choose the photos or memorabilia that you want to feature and treat each item sort of as it’s own little art piece. For the focal photo, use the Bracket and Journal Shape Cutting Template with the Ultra ShapeXpress. 2. Use the 12” Premium Crafter’s Trimmer to cut pattern paper to 3”x5” and adhere trimmed focal photo to paper. Adhere 5” length of black pompom trim to the bottom edge of paper. Use the ¼” Circle Hand Punch on the top center of piece. Thread ribbon through and tie onto wire across frame.
3. Punch a hole using the ¼” Circle Hand Punch through the top center of the other 2-4”x6” photos or memorabilia, thread ribbon through and tie onto wire on either side of the focal photo. 4. Feel free to add any further embellishments to any of the photos. On the sample piece, I cut a sentiment from a vintage book and added right onto the photo. Buttons, small flowers, punched shapes would all be good additions.
