bread sleeveClick image to enlarge Designed by, Lisa Falduto There is nothing quite as special as a homemade baked item to give to those you love during the holidays. But what is a homemade baked item without some delightful paper crafting thrown in to make it decoratively special! So I have created two different sleeves that you can put on your favorite quick bread recipe to dress it up! Below you will find a quick and simple bread sleeve if you are pressed for time. If you have more time to play with dressing up your quick bread then you can create the more artistic sleeve also pictured below. Either way you slice it (pun intended) you always win when giving a homemade baked item, especially one that looks too good to eat! Difficulty rating

1. Cut two pieces of Scallop Stamp paper cream side up that each measure 5"x12". Use your Give it a Swirl border punch on all 4 long sides. Attach these two pieces together overlapping about an inch and matching the punched design as closely as you can. 2. Cut two pieces of Polka Dot Stamp black side up that each measure 4 3/8"x12". Again, use your Give it a Swirl punch along all 4 long sides of these pieces. Once you have punched these edges take your embossing stylus from your tool taxi, craft mat, and acrylic ruler and score about 1/4" in from the punched area on the white side of the patterned paper. Now using your micro tip scissors cut up to the scored line between each punched design all along the border.
4. Cut two pieces of Bloom Stripe that measure 3" x 12". Now attach this to the top of your layered border piece using plenty of adhesive. Fan black border cut edges up to give texture and dimension to your jacket. 5. Using your large and extra large Loves me, Love Me not squeeze punches and your seasonal cassette flower punch, make several flowers out of your left over scraps as well as Harlequin and Small Black blooms paper. You will want to layer these to create 3 dimensional flowers, making sure to bend and fan the petals to give added dimension. Attach some flowers with adhesive foam dots and attach others directly to the jacket. You can also add some of the flower embellishments that coordinate with this line scattered within the punched flowers as shown. I created flowers flowing from the top down over the front edge of my loaf.
