Instructions (Print version)
Note: The apron is 13" x 19" and the tote is 10" x 7.5" x 3". If using a pre-made apron & tote, simply add the pockets and trim as shown.
APRON Instructions: 1. Cut out the apron shape. 2. Attach the bottom pockets on the bottom. Do a baste-stitch to keep it in place. Use the tape measure in the 12-in-1 sewing tool to divide the pocket into three equal sections. Stitch vertically to create 3 separate pockets. 3. Add the double-fold bias tape trim along all raw edges of the apron. Pay close attention the curved areas. Stitch carefully to ensure that the apron fabric is "sandwiched" in between the bias fold and that both sides of the tape are stitched down. If you find sections that are not stitched down, you may use the seam ripper in the 12-in-1 sewing tool to remove the original stitches. Re-stitch.
TOTE Instructions: 1. For the tote, use a small tote pattern. Read & follow the pattern instructions on the tote for assembly. 2. Prior to assembly, make a note that outer pockets will need to be added with coordinating fabric as shown. 3. Pin the pockets to the front bottom & back bottom of the tote. Baste-stitch to prevent shifting of fabric. At this time, stitch vertically to create 3 pockets on each side of the tote. Once this is done, follow the pattern instructions as directed. 4. After the tote is sewn, add a contrasting bias tape along the top edge of the tote opening as shown.
