I love decorating around my home in the Fall, but I used to spend hours tying bows the old-fashioned way. Since I began using the Fiskars Bow Maker, my hands and wrists are not sore, and best of all… I’m done in just a few minutes. This leaves me plenty of time to get out and enjoy the gorgeous weather!
Wired Ribbon – 2 ½ inches wide Styrofoam Gourd Silk Flower w/ leaves Serrated Knife Candle – medium sized
Instructions: 1. Use knife to cut an opening into top/middle of gourd, large enough for candle to be inserted 2 inches down. Insert candle. 2. Cut a length of ribbon to 18 inches. Wrap around candle at base and tie (position ribbon ends vertically). 3. Cut a length of wired ribbon to 2 yards. Fold ribbon in layers so that you end up with 4 loops on each side. Pinch middle with fingers and place into Bow Maker. Insert staple and press handle down firmly. 4. Place bow at center of the ribbon that you tied in step 2. Use ribbon ends to tie and secure bow. Cut ribbon ends diagonally. 5. Use Diagonal Cutter to trim silk flower to approx. 4 inches. Bend stem slightly and insert behind bow. 6. Poke individual silk leaves into edge of gourd around sides and back of candle.
