Paper CrimperUsing the Paper Crimper To operate crimper, insert the edge of almost any kind of paper between the metal barrels, squeeze the handles to grip the paper and turn the key. To prevent paper from drifting, mark a paper guide on the blue edge of the crimper with masking tape and periodically check to make sure your paper is lined up with the guide. Balance or prop the crimper on a flat surface to reduce fatigue. Achieving Unique Effects For “herringbone” patterns, fold paper accordion-style and feed through the crimper at an angle. Give your gift tags an embossed look by crimping a corner or two. Running wired-ribbon through the crimper gives extra dimension. Foils look fabulous when crimped! For interesting additions to your scrapbook and photo memory pages, crimp die-cuts and corners.
